U-Pick operations, also known ask "pick-your-own" or PYO, encourage customers to come into their production fields and experience harvesting activities. U-Pick decreases the cost of labor and transportation for the farmer, so the prices are lower than what a consumer would find at a grocery store or even a farm stand or farmer´s market.
